Outline and scope:

Presentation topics will include current trends & various approaches in Metagenomics, like:

BLAST against databases and then place on Taxonomy
Composition based
on-the-fly Phylogenetic analysis
SOM approach etc.

Literature for the different presentations are up-to-date scientific reviews and articles which will be provided to the speakers. Further autonomous literature search is expected. The main aim of this seminar is to learn about present scientific research situation of the field Metagenomics.

Each speaker will hold a ~45min (30 min talk & 15 min discussion) talk and present the relevant results to all participants. All presentations will be given in English.
