Outline and scope:
Presentation topics will include: current trends in

• Genomics, especially Comparative and Functional Genomics and
• Metagenomics

Starting literature used for the different presentations will be up-to-date scientific reviews and articles and will be provided to the speakers.  Further autonomous literature searches is expected.

The speakers will introduce these relatively new scientific disciplines to the participants and present the relevant results. Special emphasis shall be put on the bioinformatics strategies, algorithms and tools developed and applied.
