A database for metagenome data
In metagenomics, DNA from a sample of unknown organisms is sequenced and then the obtained sequencing reads are blasted against different reference databases in an attempt to identify the organisms in the sample. The task of this thesis is to setup a database for metagenomic data that can be accessed in Java.
This thesis will be supervised by the Huson lab (Uni Tuebingen)
